As folk may have gathered I get a lot of mailshots etc about interesting london events, and indeed go to rather a lot.

Will probably dump the more "interesting" here now and again for all you cultural hounds.

For starters I give you this.

I must say I'm impressed that it appears to be non profit, that any extra cash appears to go to buying yet more ukeleles, and by their very straightforward Q&As which appear to address most of the key questions/puzzlement issues folk might have.

Barnet,
Sounds a great idea, but I am slightly confused as to whether males are welcomed. The ukulele is a popular instrument now and quite fun to play.

Yes, the ukulele is undergoing a bit of a revival it seems. A lot of emphasis on being kinky for the event which I never had Blue Hills down for but you live and learn
In the meantime here's a rather fun adaptation of the popular western theme by The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain to enjoy:

If you get the chance, go and see them live - a brilliant evening - with an amazing repertoire.

Yes as Robgul said go and see them live. I saw them a couple of years ago just before Christmas when they invited members of the audience to bring their uku's along to play along with them doing a couple of Christmas carols. A good night out!

Very skilfully done, apart from the playing, the bits with their voices will not have been easy to do so well.

Interesting they deploy a traditional bass guitar to hold it all together.
