Not heard it called that in decades.

I believe the usual context was: "Gies a glug ae yer scoosh".
To which the contemporary response is: "nae wey, yer no giein us coronavirus ya bam"
I dunno:laugh:
I never share any ginger with anyone...unless I get first slug:laugh:
Scottish People Twitter on Reddit has had some amusing takes on coronavirus the last few weeks, but not for the faint of heart as you would imagine...

Scoosh, ginger, swally, limchy.. I'm sure there must be more

I've always wanted to build a Venn diagram of what, in Scotland, does and does not constitute 'juice'.
If it has at any point been in contact with fruit or vegetable, it is not juice.

Controversial: I never really cared much for irn bru. The only thing worse than it was solripe's attempt at the concept.
Edit to correct further: Limeade is worse still.

Solripe and laterly Alpine (remember them) were wannabe scoosh makers...
there is no substitute for the Bru...

so far we have scoosh(checked with the Angus other half, means spraying)
ginger
swally
limchy
carbonated beverage (they let it go flat as Ayrshire's 1%ers don't want to be seen to fart)
Juice
slug....

there has to be tons more
Pop!
I’m another that isn’t daft on
Irn Bru. Not that keen on fizzy juice at all. Would rather have a nice diluting juice or a fresh orange.
