.... PERVERT!!
CONFORMIST!!!
.... PERVERT!!
Ooooooooooh! Do I detect a fellow Salsa dancer?
I love mince pies, the Mrs buys a box with the weekly shop on a Thursday & they're gone by SaturdayThis has been going on since they hit the shelves back in October. On Christmas eve I make my own, normally 36 and they don't last much longer than Boxing day.
CONFORMIST!!!
When I was in Panama City I was told I could not get Captain Morgan rum (not that I wanted any) because that wasn't a very popular name there, and hadn't been for some time since the pirate trashed the place back in the 1670s!
Alas I don't smoke so I miss out on the whole Cuban cigars thing...
Mrs J & my son get to eat a few, as well as my home made sausage rolls that I also make Christmas eve.
Oh yes! Have been for many (I'm talking about seriously many) years! You name it.. socially or competitively, from Cuban to NY to LA, Puertorriqueña significally less I admit.. I dance both "on one" and "on two" according to the partner's preference! Being member of ASCLAYE (Alianza Sociocultural de Latinoamericanos y Españoles) for over a decade now..
How do take your salsa then?![]()
I am not, I couldn't care less about mince pies, but it is the fact that you have eaten 10 boxes since the summer that gets me!![]()
I've heard there is quite a big disparity between Havana and the real Cuba of the countryside. Some of those colourful Caribbean nations can be pretty depressing. My brother flew relief supplies into Haiti after the earthquake and he tells some pretty harrowing tales.Exactly my point!!
I quit smoking 6 years ago (about the same time I gave up living I suppose..), but when I was in Cuba I was still smoking.. I was always smoking small cigars (completely out of eccentricity initially and out of habbit afterwards) and I can't explain what an amazing experience this trip was! It was also during a (yet another) difficult period in my life and I was so much tempted to eff everything and stay there forever! lol Good music, good rum, great cigars. Couldn't get much better than that!!lol (then I visited the real Cuba...the one outside Havana and Varadero..
)
Back to rum though.. Did you by any chance watch the Rum Diary?
although I prefer tea (coffee I can take or leave)
I haven't seen the Rum Diary - perhaps I should..
I'll be spending a fair bit of time in the Caribbean in the coming months so I ought to do a bit of pre-travel research.
Besides, Coffee makes my head all muzzy anyway.
