All hail global warming! It got up to +20c here in Ottawa today! Still biking in shorts.
I'll want to be reminded of this post in January though when it's -35c though ....
I was driving through Burnley(England) tonight where it was cold damp and definitely miserable! I passed a cyclist wearing shorts(and i mean SHORTS!, they were like swimming trunks), a short sleeved cycling jersey and sandals...with no socks!!
I can't fault him though, he had the best lights i've seen on a bike for ages!

I met a 7 month old Staffie on the bus yesterday. He was brindle and looked lovely, and all he wanted to do was say hello to everyone, get stroked/patted and just generally bounce about as Staffies do.
Apparently the owner and his young daughter had just picked him up from somewhere, so he was being taken to his new home for the first time. I just hope it all works out as he seemed to be a really good natured and friendly (and good looking) dog.

First of all, here is a link for a brilliant online radio (mostly salsa but you can find all sorts of latin american classics as well). It belongs to a very dear friend Basilio, major radio producer and one of the best salsa djs. He is quite impressive bloke and if you check his picture gallery you will recognise a number of legends he's affiliated with (some of them really good friends, and the very reason I met some of my own friends from the latin music world).

So you mean it's not bad enough we are going to dance together without a single practice as a partners, we are going to try untested events as well? I can see the recipe for desaster forming slowly..

yes I was coming past glastonbury on sunday and this cyclist coming towards me had better lights than my car !
I've always found bike lights rubbish , must be a new bread of lights , it made me think - I wont some - but then I remembered I don,t cycle at night - damn.

There are plenty of choices, many of them can turn the night into day.. should you find £200+ in you pocket that you don't particulary need..
I didn't use to cycle at night either (it's too scary where I live), but I got a new job (yeeeee) and it looks like at like I will be able to commute. However I do need a pair of good lights in order to do that safely.. It's almost pitch black at 16:30 already!
