I really don't know what is best for one's chain.

If the noise from the chain is louder than the tick from my Rolex I ask the butler to oil it for me. I must ask him what he uses.

Next question, which oil is best to make my Rolex run silently?

Don't waste money on expensive horologists, they are a total rip off. Chainsaw oil will be fine. Just get the back off with a chisel and put in about a teaspoon full.
I usually find that after using the chisel to open the back the mechanism is quiet, and don't need the oil any more

I have been using a chain lube. Without looking can't remember what it's called but seems ok. Sometimes I have to reapply it and sometimes I have to clean the chain. Hope that's helps.

Think it might be muc off
