Is it time for longs yet?

Shorts again today, although also wearing tights for the first time since spring.

This last few weeks it's been shorts and leg warmers, for commute to work in the mornings at 0615hrs. And shorts on the commute home.With this weekends weather I am contemplating digging the long pants out.Anyone else in long pants yet?

Yes. My knees can't cope with being bare in 1°C.

-2c for me this morning, still in shorts not because I am as hard as nails but because I prefer it! I am pretty sure it is an old wives tale, I would maybe agree it may make an existing problem more uncomfortable but cannot see any science for it to generating a problem.

Not wore longs yet,but definitely needed knee warmers for a while this morning.Needed to stop and pull thermal t shirt down to stop my crown jewels freezing aswell Felt like winters here.....

Over the Snake Pass, down the other side and then back again. Working hard so thermal with short sleeved top & running tights with cycling shorts was OK. But even 2 pairs of socks and I had cold feet. May need to dig out the neoprene overshoes if this continues

For large parts of the ride it was zero degrees

Still plenty of 'locals' going about in shorts and tee shirts. I wasn't born up here and therefore have warm blood that likes longs and thermal gloves from now on. Sleet and hail over weekend - no doubt some white stuff soon.
