Now the weathers getting a bit better has anyone been brave enough to remove their mudguards? I'm desperate to get mine off but just know April can get a little wet!

No, it is time to get another bike that never has mudguards fitted.

Thinking about taking the 'guards off the Planet X soon.

Icarus will stay with guards fitted as that is for wet club rides and the Helium doesn't have 'guards on at all.

For the commute bike.... no.. mud guards all year round.
For my leisure bike I use race blades as and when needed.

Mudguards stay on all the bikes all year. We live in a rainy country - get used to it. If your mudguards are annoying, replace them with better ones. If your bike doesn't take mudguards well, sell it to someone more gullible or who will leave it in the shed unridden.

Mine came off the 'good bike' a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend had to use the winter bike as it arsed it down with rain

Dry weather will arrive soon, I am sure.

took the front mudguard off the commuter just now; it's a nightmare to stop rubbing without moving the thing to the point where it provides no cover at all. the back is staying on in case i need to ride a damp club run on it…
