Is there a stigma to only wear a cap?

I’ll be giving any type of glasses a wide birth.

Well that'll definitely make your eyes water.

My eyes water anyway... wearing clear glasses just means i can't wipe my eyes, so I don't.

I don't wear either, and nor do I dress up in Lycra. Cycling is, or should be, an everyday casual activity.

Cycling is what you want it to be. An everyday casual activity is just one option. There is no should involved.

Yep, and have quite a collection.
Many of us don't wear helmets and cycle caps do the job perfectly. Winter I wear a 'fleecy 'Belgium Cap' which also keeps your ears warm.
Caps are cool, helmets just look crap. If you don't believe me look at TdeF pictures pre-helmet.

It's not just the lack of helmets that make them look cool, it's the bikes. No plastic bikes there.

As a recent convert to carbon framed bikes, I have to admit they look nowhere near as classy as the old steel framed bikes.

I have a cycling cap but the one thing I can never look in it is hard, just a big geriatric schoolboy.
