It looked older than 2018 as others have suggested. I punted on a 2010 speedster Google image search, the picturea was near the top.
I expect the current ad will be withdrawn now they've been rumbled:angry:
Yes I think you are correct. I Google how much it is worth and it’s suggested £169.00

Nothing wrong with getting a bike that age if it's in a good condition but don't forget to run your fingers around the wheel rims to see that they are not too worn. Wheels would be an expensive addition to the cost of a bike.

This is what he said

The picture I got it off google , I live in a flat and bike is locked in garage so was just quicker. It’s the same model , I can send you detailed pictures if you like in the morning?

I just asked him to verify the age of the Bike.

hmm, that’s dodgy as hell. You’re selling something second hand, you take your own pictures of the item in question.

BTW has anyone successfully requested the frame number from a seller ? (in order to check if stolen on the bike register)

Looks OK - go take a look and see if you can haggle the price. as @vickster said straight away, it's fairly old - you can tell be the colour scheme/logo's. It's worth it if it's in good nick mechanically.

I have decided to put that bike on ice. Just unsure about why he did not put original pictures on his advert.

Anyway my next bike I have seen is a. Raleigh criterium elite road bike.

The are asking £250. It’s is local to me.

Any thoughts please.

The original advert might have been posted before the chap had taken pictures of the actual bike and used another picture as an example . It might have been that it needed cleaning or wasn't able to get pictures of it at the time . I don't think much of adverts of cycles which haven't been cleaned unless they are really cheap and show potential .
The new pictures look nice . You could go along and check the frame number out and then go from there .

Thanks. I just asked the size and it’s a 54cm but I am 5”11. Might be a bit to small. Although I could try it.
if you are longer legs shorter torso than average if might be OK, but 56 would be more your natural size, but geometries vary between brands.

Smaller is better than bigger as a longer stem can be fitted if your feeling cramped and / or you can flip the stem to lift the bars a bit. Luckily he hasn't cut the steerer tube and there are a few spacers under it so the bars are reasonable high to match the fact you will have a fair bit of seat tube showing.
