It weighs HOW much?

Report in the MEN this evening, about a chap who had his road bike nicked, after the dimwit left it outside a TESCO unlocked, while he bought some bananas. So far, so predictable.

It was a Kuota Kebel, and it weighed, according to the report, and here's the bit we doubted, 1 kg.

A 1 kg bike!? What's it made of, cobweb?

Looking at the spec, of course, we see that it's the frame that weighs 1.1kg. Presumably the bike this eejit had paid two grand for had wheels, cranks, pedals, chain, handlebars, cables etc. Nice journalism!

Pity it didn't have a lock too, eh?

What kind of plonker leaves two grands worth of bike unlocked? Even a small cable lock would stop someone riding off on it, for a few seconds.
