No more cyclists than usual on this mornings commute. Looking out the window at the bike racks they are actually more empty than usual. Don't believe any incentives were offered here, and anyway, only those who commute regularly by bike should be rewarded, not the one off wonders..

Didn't see anyone I've not seen before.

My employer laid on free breakfast for anyone cycling which is good. We've done it before a few times and I usually organise it. We've had more cyclists today than a typical day but all of them are regulars.

What most amuses me is the reactions of some non-cycling colleagues which have ranged from "it's OK for you but you can't expect me to cycle to work. I live TEN miles away" to "well that's just farking ridiculous, imagine riding a bicycle just to save £3" and I'll never forget the one woman last year who quite angrily accused me of some kind of discrimination "Well, that's just not fair. It's discrimination against cars and I demand a free breakfast".

there were a few tw@ on regents canal this morning riding like cockwombles not slowing down for peds.

i kept away from the supershoiteways.

I only met one person at work today who has probably cycled in for the first time this year, I think this as only a complete novice would cycle in this weather into London in leg warmers and a waterproof. When he took his waterproof off he looked like a drowned rat underneath.

I was asked by two women on bikes (clearly newbies) if I was riding to some cafe for the free breakfast, erm no, I'm running late for work (again!).

I didn't see any more people cycling today than usual. Although the bike rack in work did have more than the usual number of bikes in it.
