How many 15 year olds are there in school today with a Dad born on the 1920's ?
That is what young Jagger will have to deal with in 2030 , his Dad, if is still alive then, will be older than probably the Great Grandparents of any other kid in the school.
(My sister had this issue, she is 100 years to the day younger than her Grandfather, most kids of her age group had grandparents in their 50's )

All a bit wierd, his current girl friend is younger than half of his kids.

Is financial security the only thing a parent has to offer a child? Seriously?
While I'm sure the child will have a very privileged life, he's realistically not going to have his father around for long.
My friend was 25 or so when he lost his dad who was over 90 when he died. His dad had suffered from dementia for a number of years prior to passing and I know my friend really felt he missed out on so much with his dad. First pints, girlfriend trouble, the excitement of leaving home. He'll never have a pre-wedding pep talk with his dad, or wet his own new born child's head with his dad. His dad never saw him graduate, or become established and respected in his field. Those are the things being a good parent is about. Not whether you got the latest Playstation growing up.

Christmas must be a complicated business in the Jagger family. Who visits who? Who cooks Christmas dinner? Just writing out the Xmas cards requires specialist software.

I'm just wondering what Mick Jagger might say in such situation, remembering he staged a sham wedding to fool Jerry Hall.
I did say he did? Did I say he'd have been good at it if it weren't for his age? Did I say that this child would miss out on all the 'normal' parent child things I mentioned above that his other children had received them? I don't think I did. My point was that the post I quoted suggested that all that mattered was that the child would have financial security. I was simply pointing out that the role of a parent goes well beyond providing a child with what they need to physically survive, and that the children of older parents often end up missing out on those things.
