JavaScript turned off...how do I turn it on again?

When I go into Youtube, I get this message:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player

I successfully downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player and I still get the same message. I'm assuming, therefore, that I somehow inadvertently turned off JavaScript.

Anyone know how to turn turn it back on?

I just tried that, mate. In fact, that box was already ticked when I went into 'Advanced'.

Sorry - it's no help I know. Just ignore it - next time you go to youtube it will work...that's what I did.

I have a vague memory of something similar (windoze ME). Think I might have had to untick, click on Apply, tick again, click on Apply again

Not yet...i even uninstalled my ZoneAlarm firewall just in case that was blocking it. Still get the same problem
