Daisy Nook car park OL8 3NZ 9.20 for 9.30 kick off. CX/29er MTB and we'll be doing every steep hill I can think of between there and Denshaw, and probably a few more inbetween. 50K ish which doesn't sound too much but you'll be sore by close of play 3 or 4 hours later. Usual rules apply- Don't turn up on a shed and wait for me at the top. Cafe stop at the end of ride in Daisy Nook Caff.

Is this going to be off-road or just back lanes with a couple of bumpy tracks thrown in?

of course a 26er iwould be suitable- i was referring to general roll8ng around ness. If you know what I mean.

Its a back lane and off road ride so tough tyres are a minimum. Weather's gonna be cold clear and bright with no black ice. No siree.

Come on folks, don't be shy

Weather forecast is now looking reassuringly mild and dry on the day, and on the days before, so it should be a pleasant enough ride. Dan may talk-the-talk but don't be scared off. It won't be a 50k killer ride, whatever Dan might suggest, he just hasn't got the legs for it! Speeds will be manageable and we will wait and regroup whenever necessary.
I am just keen to see where he is going to take us because this is my patch and I would love to know any great new lanes or tracks I have been missing out on these past 30yrs.....

I don't want to feel anything hard, but if you want to try some Viagra eye drops at least you can look hard!!!!

Just confirmed, oldest son and his mate will join us at the start and ride until they are bored or worn out. Luckily for them it is a local ride so they can drop off at a point to suit them and still stand a chance of finding their way home.
