What sort of company would you be looking to work for M? Advertising agency or publishing company- that sort of thing?

Are there any specialised employment agencies that you could register with for temp/ contract work? Miss A_T is registered with a few agencies for supply teaching assistant temps and she gets fairly regular work through them. Might help you to find who's busy?

That is really awful news, like everyone else says, start looking now and consider working for yourself if that is a viable option.

Comiserations Monty. Happened to me 10yrs ago... major repercussions, but all ended well. Hope it does for you too.

ah damn mate, that sucks, hope you get something sorted out soon, on a positive note though this is one of the best times to be looking for a job , as the new financial year is just around the corner.

Ah crap, this appears to be normal these days. It's a tired cliche, but everyone I know who has been made redundant (myself included) has been better off for it in the long run.

The stately home my wife served her hort apprenticeship at made her redundant when 'is lordship sold the family silver, she never wanted to leave so when the new owner gave her a job back she was delighted, until three months later she got made redundant again!

Have you tried www.elance.com ?

Sorry to hear that, hope you get sorted soon enough.
Read a quote on Pinterest last night- 'Life is like a catapult, you must first be pulled back before being flung rapidly in whole new and exciting direction.' or words to that effect.
