Well done. If that was me, I would noe go and ruin my good work by rewarding myself with a few beers ^_^

You've just reminded me, I've got a bottle of Old Golden Hen in the fridge, I'm sure holding a cold wet glass to my lips is a just reward for this mornings mileage.

Don’t agree with the food thing. I regularly ride 100km rides (like today) and don’t eat a thing. I eat breakfast before going out, today was beans on toast with black pudding.
On the ride I had was orange squash in my bottles. Each to their own I suppose but you don’t need to eat on longer rides. I’m not a fan of energy gels either. I do carry a couple of flapjacks just in case, but never eat them. If I’m doing a 100 miler I’ll stop and have a sandwich half way but that’s about it.

P.S
Fair play on your longest ride!
Well done:bravo:
That looks a great ride. Must have been great sea views for most of the ride.

50 miles, to me, is just about the perfect distance, a good workout without taking up most of the day.
Great views indeed . Lovely mountains on the right and the sea on the left and the smell of seaweed . That was the most enjoyable part until I got to the city .

It's a nice ride that. Once out of Larne, up the coast is one of the best roads for scenery in our wee country. I've yet to ride it all the way up to Portrush from the Larne direction but maybe next year! What bike were you on for this ride?
