Just how many deaths does it take

Reading the paper this morning saw the death in London. Also saw magnatrons Bbc news bit. When will people accept that it's not all down to cyclists running red lights but also the driving culture we have over here.

It's easy to judge and point the finger of blame than to look towards yourself for the change you want to see in the world, which is why most people never do it.

It seems easy to say and seems to be main defence but they run red lights the serious debate gets ignored. Human life then is worthless as long as you can ride your bike or Car.

Yes,must admit the aggressive driving does not help.

Also lost her job and she's going to have a hard time getting another as an accountant with that on her record.

If she hadn't made that tweet she probably wouldn't have been caught so better than no punishment at all.

oo I didnt realise she lost her job, shame really as the world needs half wit accountants.

The death toll recently for cyclists has been very sad.

Anyway, I've been reading on the BBC website and other sources about how cyclist's shouldn't wear headphones (Boris?), or that HGVs shouldn't be allowed in the city of London (Green Party spokesperson?). Or that police are out in force stopping cyclists for RLJs.

But what surprizes me the most is that I've not read about what seems to have actually happened. As in, "the cyclist went up the blind side of a lorry taking a turn", or "the lorry driver turned in front of the cyclist", "the cyclist had headphones on and didn't hear the lorry behind skid into them" or "the cyclist jumped a red light and was hit....".

I might be wrong, but it seems everyone has their own agenda and a solution (or reaction? Or an easily visible response?). I think it would be far more worthwhile trying to find out what went so tragically wrong, work out what can change to hopefully help avoid it happening again, and attempting a solution from all sides.
