I've never given a helmet a thought in honesty.

I always think there is one problem with this discussion. The people who have not been injured are still here cycling and the ones who have been injured are no longer on cycle sites discussing what happened to their heads. A visit to a Headway charity would probably give us a very different insight.

As with others, both the GLW and I have been knocked off our bikes destroying our respective bash hats, but we were straight back on our bikes afterwards.
With my last one, I had to wait about two months before the NHS physio gave me the go ahead, such a frustrating time - !
