We had a discussion over on the retirement section on the cost of glasses
from me - January this year from specsaves new frames, varifocal lenses and react to light lens £129
I've used Specsavers twice in the past, including my current pair of varifocals and I have not been impressed. Boots this time and an upgrade to Premium lens.

I will get a second pair, though now I have the new script I'll go to one of the online reglazers.

Just had to sell a bike to pay for glasses for mrs ck , when she got her prescription we did shop around a bit but tbh around £200 for varifocals and reactions is the going rate .

I tend to just reuse my good frames and get the optician to put new lenses in. I then take my prescription to Select Specs online and get 4 pairs for £6 each that I can leave lying around or carry with me
