Kind of disbelief that she pulled and came straight toward me, tried to go round her and thought I'd made it but she accelerated at just the wrong moment and took me off. Bit bruised now...

Cut the ride short and headed back to the office, noticed the front wheel is no longer true. Arm sore and nice bruise on my hip but a lucky escape really.

Careful out there folks!

Another lady ran up the road to check I was ok and a passing white van offered me a lift so not all bad

Going to feel it tomorrow I reckon!

Sorry to hear about this. Shouldn't Hi-Viz make you more visible to car drivers, or so we are led to believe.
Anyway, very glad you are not too hurt.
Did you get her details? She should pay for any damage to the bike.

Hi viz makes you more visible if the driver bothers to look, he said she didn't Personally, when I drive I do find cyclists in hi viz and who have lights in dusk/dark easier to see (I also find cars with lights easier to see)

Cheers, yes I took her details, didn't notice the front wheel out of true until a few miles later. She didn't seem bothered but I guess she was probably a little shocked too. Was surprised the back wheel wasn't out of shape to be honest as I got clipped half way long the bike. So nearly managed to avoid it!

If you're hurt you ought to see the Dr and get a checkup and a record of your injuries. You should also notify the Police, I reckon.

Well get on to the police.Get a crime reference No. Then contact an injury claims company and get some compensation.

When I was knocked off I just kept zipped, the driver then spouted out liability and then the ambulance arrived then finally the fuzz. Took me a while to approach junctions with cars approaching without too much caution.
