Valve nuts and dustcaps, straight in the bin.
Your rims and pumps contain carp.

Oooh. Now you've done it.

Don't get @mjr started on Woods valves!
 The most elegant solution and ironically not vulnerable to blowback because the air doesn't go out through the hole it goes in. If you run them without dustcaps, you can still end up pumping a little water or a clog of carp (don't you love autocorrect?) into your tube, but at least it's not trashing your pump connector head!

I've paid for them so I'm using them

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Michelin Airstop butyl and Aircomp latex, for starters. I much prefer smooth stemmed, and Airstop are my favourite tube (and I throw the dustcap away after fitting the tube, the only point of it is to protect the tube when folded tight).

In the past , I would always throw them away, but the last front wheel inner tube change, I noticed a rattle, which has been isolated to the Schrader valve. It doesn't have a thread, so will need to be kept as a spare when I have time to swap it out. I can't stand rattles from my bikes.
