Ah, that makes sense.
I've never had a huge butt...so not loads of padding there, it's all round my hips and stomach.
Ime the friction is not caused by a big butt ^_^ but by chubby upper legs. If you lose or gain volume there your saddle front sometimes rubs.
I've got mahoosive tights

There comes a point in this sort of thread where someone has to point out one or both of two things and this time it falls to me.
The first is, if it is a problem, should you take it to your doctor rather than ask here? The second is that, asking here, we really need photos to be able to advise properly. Put them in spoiler tags, I promise not to look.
Doctor...no (unless it's the young hunky one)
Photos....erm, no. (never)

Think most grown up females know when it's a doctor issue and when it's not...

May I just say that, Mrs FF couldn't get on with padded cycle shorts, rubbed her up the wrong way. Just wears undies and regular unpadded lycra and finds it much more agreeable.
Thank you.
FF.

sounds to me like you have a saddle sore that is not getting chance to heal. Off to the doc you go young lady.
and make sure your saddle isn't too big as it will chaffe.
and make sure your padding isn't to fat as this will chaffe. I have some cycle shorts from Corinne Dennis. The padding feels quite thin in my hands but is very comfy on the bike, better than i expected when i wore them bcoz i thought it wouldn't be enough. Turns out less is more. They do underwear, phone up and see if its the same padding. If not you could try the shorts under your baggies. Or see what their underwear is like.

Feel free to move if this is in the wrong place.

Ladies, rather a delicate matter!
I've been doing quite a few miles recently. I wear lycra tights (no undies) and have a ladies seat (the cut out variety) and it's very comfortable.
I'm now having a few issues...I have developed a sore spot, it's very specific...forward of my sit bones but not right in amongst the 'machinery' (if that makes ANY sense what so ever!).
It feels like the type of soreness you get through rubbing (friction).
It gradually disappears over a few days but then comes back when I ride again.

I don't have the best lycra tights so am guessing because I'm doing more miles, it's causing irritation?
I have new undershorts on order from Tenn as I want to use baggy shorts rather than lycra as I feel more comfortable in them as I'm not a small lady!
I also have some sensory issues and really don't like wearing tight fitting clothing.

Advice please?
