I was right about that saddle
My Daughter tried out my wife's lightweight Claud Butler Hybrid Urban 300 and loved it, so I need to get her something similar. Previously she had a heavy suspension mountain bike and struggled a bit with it on hills which put her off cycling.
The CB has a decent alloy frame and crucially no suspension, keeping it light. It has V brakes rather than disc.
So, checking the local GumTree ads, which seems to have taken a spike in the number of bikes being sold (nice weather = garage clearouts) I have only spotted a handlful of candidate bikes from £60-100 but they all need some TLC. Anything less than £50 seems to be steel and actually be an older style mountain bike.
However, for no more than £119 I can get a new Decathlon B'TWIN RIVERSIDE 100 HYBRID BIKE or the 120 model for a bit more.
Seems like a no brainer to me!
