Performance gains for your “nest”?Surely shaving a go faster stripe brings the nest performance gains?
Look at me, l've graduated to the dizzy heights of a serious amateurRead The Escape Artist by Matt Seaton for the proper explanation of leg shaving. It's mostly massage and a mark of graduation to the ranks of serious amateur or pro rider.
@DCLane nailed it.There's no evidence of any aerodynamic benefit to shaving your legs, so there's that. I've never understood the need to shave legs, I'm not sure what it's supposed to accomplish for most riders.
For Pro riders I can see there might be an argument that it helps with road rash, or when they are having post ride massages, but given that I try to avoid the former, and Mrs C refuses to do the latter...
I'll quite happily take anything messing up my lobster lines. Never had a tan, probably never will.
I was that soldier... The irritation in the groove twixt buttock and upper thigh upon regrowth is something I wouldn't wish on everybody...You're asking for trouble if you shave the contact areas.
"Man up" you get use to itYou're asking for trouble if you shave the contact areas.
Thats 'cos you live in wishy-washy England where the sun hardly gets a look in
Ha! Did mine first thing this morning for the first time this year. :-)Well, it is for me anyway, first time in the shorts this year and I look like a gorilla. So, the shaver will be working overtime later.
But it got me to thinking...
