LEJOG - the scenic route?

I'm in the fortunate position of being given time from work to do the LEJOG, it'll work out at approx 17 days riding time which is obviously plenty.

With that in mind which route would people say is the safest/quietest/most scenic? We'll be vehicle supported so don't mind being slightly stranded - we can just get chauffered into town for the night and then back to our set off point...

I'm also trying to work out a nice scenic rout for my LeJog in June, i won't have a support car though.

It has loads of blogs, most outline their route and comment on the merits of their chosen path.
Or you can search for LeJog in sites such as mapmyride and check out some routes people have already plotted.

I rode the Scenic Lejog route, thoroughly recommend it, the ‘CTC’ will be able to provide useful route information that should prove very useful.

There's only one LEJOG and that's your own. You just need to work out your own route.

I did an east of the pennines route in 14.5 days which was a little longer than most people do (1,100 miles), worked out using road atlases and using that and a GPS to navigate. It was very scenic, was all on back roads, and is highly recommended.

We follwed the CTC B&B route mostly, but detoured over to the west of Scotland and used a more southerly route through Devon and Cornwall.

Day 1 - JOG -Thurso-Bettyhill
Day 2 - Betthill-Atlnaharra-Lairg-Bonar Bridge
Day 3 - Bonar Bridge-Tain-Dingwall-Drumnadrochit
Day 4 - Loch Ness -Fort Augustus-Fort William
Day 5 - Fort William-Glencoe-RannochMoor-Loch Lomond
Day 6 - Loch Lomond to Motherwell via Glasgow
Day 7 - Motherwell-Lockerbie
Day 8 - Lockerbie-Shap via Gretna & Carlisle
Day 9 - Shap-Whalley (Horrendous climbs out of Tebay & through Trough of Bowland)
Day 10- Whalley-Crewe (Urban all the way)
Day11 - Crewe-Ludlow via Audlem, Market Drayton and Much Wenlock
Day 12 - Ludlow -Symonds Yat via Leominster and Ross on Wye
Day 13 - Symonds Yat - Chew Stoke via Severn Bridge and Avon Cycleway
Day 14 - Chew Stoke - Tiverton via Cheddar, Bridgewater & Taunton
Day 15 - Tiverton to Okehapmton via Exeter and old A30
Day 16 - Okehampton-St Austell via Liskeard
Day 17 - St Austell to Penzance via Truro, Redruth and Hayle (old A30 again)
Day 18 - Penzance to Lands End
