The madegood film is great and really captured some fabulous bits of LEL.
LEL was fantastic on my first and only go at it. I enjoyed it way more than I had expected to. I think I thought that without the hype and roadside support you get on PBP, it might be a little flat in atmosphere. But the atmosphere at the controls made up for that. The volunteers who ran the controls were simply amazing.
It's a good ride and the route was brilliant last time and looks to be further improved this time.
Being a 1400km, the time allowance is very generous and anyone with good mental fortitude and a dose of fitness has a good chance of being able to finish it.
I can not decide whether I want/can ride it in 2017. I have my eye on some more interesting ideas, but I will have to see where my business takes me to see if I can justify taking significant time out for those. If I couldn't ride it, I would certainly volunteer to help again.
