3mm cable ties are flexible enough to take their place.

Super glue might work so long as you have a clean cut on the band.
I have a Locktite 'O' ring kit that makes up any size you want from a round section strip, just cut and glue together. Never had one fail.

Only tried it once, didn't think it's last for long but it's still stuck together five years later

Just an update, they eventually responded to me, they can see the order but no payment has gone through & not in theirs Paypal. I checked my account & there's no debit so I've placed the order again & this time received a confirmation email. So maybe a website glitch

Those diffusers are brilliant, they really focus the beam.

Probably well no it is a really daft question that I could possibly test myself but confirmation is always good.

I've put the lense with the lines across the beam

Is that correct, when I got back last night it didn't seem to spread the beam but elongate it

You need to spin it 90 degrees so that the lines are vertical
