Lights!!!

AGGHHHH!!!

Its not making any sense to me at all

Need some Lights for an overnight MTB race, and can i make any sense of what i need.
I don't need to know about W or flood or anything else.


All i want is some lights that will last several hours, 4 maybe.
Won't cost the earth
And that i can buy in the next week

I have the li-ion system with a 20 mid and a 12 wat spot with a race battery.

the halide is even brighter.

What do you consider as not costing the earth?

Would agree with Chris42 that lumicycles are excellent, I've got a halide spot which lasts for 7 hours with the biggest li-ion battery but it wasn't cheap.

A 12 watt would do the job.

For offroading you probably want a flood and a spot - flood lets you see whats at the sides of you, but a spot focuses ahead.

Slighly cheaper is the Dinotte series. The AA version is about 12 - 14 watts and lasts 2 hours on a set of 4. 3 sets of AA batteries shold see you OK and weighs a lot less than the Lumicycle and battery.
