Not as far as I know but there's a regular night ride to the coast which includes Brighton as a destination. You're welcome to join us.

i plan to do it one weekend in the summer with a few friends, although it will probably be a very slow pace.

But having done it with the BHF before doing it with 30,000+ it's a bit busy for my liking.

I'm supposed to be this keen biker who love to cycle. But when people ask if i've done london 2 brighton i have to reply with a No. Its a goal for me to do it, and sooner the better because it whould be nice to do i can imagine
Ps: its not a race, its a to do;)
And it would be good to go the same way as the BHF.

I tried to register on 2nd March and have failed to get a place. I am on a waiting list but have heard nothing yet.

This is the only way to go to Brighton!!!

I'm not sure it's the only way to go but it is a lot more pleasant than doing it on the BHF run (unless, possibly, you start at 6.30 and you get the clear roads).

Sorry to sound a bit grumpy, but there are better rides than the L2B. IMHO there are too many riders on the road and it is not enjoyable. I did the ride 15 years ago and vowed not to do it again. For a challenge if you are not an experienced rider then fine. Maybe if you start off at 05.00 in the morning you may get a clear run, otherwise don't bother, choose something like the London to Cambridge or the London to Southend.

I think the only way to enjoy the L2B is treat it as a carnival. Take all day to get there with plenty of time to dawdle, eat, hang out and chat to everyone.

I tried to treat it as a 'bike ride' once and it was pretty scary, even though we were first away. Only good thing was we were back in London by 8.30 so could go and do something more interesting with the rest of the day.
