The journey planner for cycling to the London Olympics is daft. It won't suggest a route for any trip any longer than 20km (12.5 miles)!
We've got tickets, will need to be there by 07:30 and will be staying in Cheam overnight. Public transport will take 2 hours using the route from the planner. The cycling distance via London Bridge is under 20 miles, so about the same, but much more reliable.
OK, we can plan our own route if we choose to cycle, but for an organisation which is supposed to be promoting cycling to its events to restrict its journey planner to 20km seems totally barmy.
I've sent an email expressing my opinion to the organisers, but it won't do much good!
