I'd like to go but the venue is such pain to get to, so I can't be arsed really.

I am sourcing some tickets as we speak, mulling over going on Saturday although it may be quieter if I take a day off and go in the week. Just don't pick up the heavy Rose catalogue on the way in.

If you've not already bought tickets...
40% off adult tickets with code ES33 - saves about £4

40% off a £16 ticket should save £6.40 . Then there's a £1.95 booking fee, WTF? I am thinking about going, from Ayrshire. Just an excuse to escape for a few days TBH. If I go then I will be avoiding the extortion that is central London hotels, and driving to somewhere around Heathrow. There are reasonable deals to be had there just now. Plus, it gives me the opportunity to cycle through the delights of London and sharpen up my combat tactics when it comes to buses, taxis, and the general chaos which is my lasting memory of London traffic. Might even try a bit of RLJ'ing just to see what all the fuss is about! It's nice to see how the other half live, but only for a few days. It's even nicer to be heading back north on the M40/M6 ^_^.

went today, was pretty good, my top tip is to go straight to madison shop and have a look at the sample sale, picked up thermal bib tights for £25 istead of £50 and a white jersey for £10 instead of £40.

Also loads of pearl izumi stuff cheap but only in medium.

Hey chaps, went today and wondered if anyone else passed an odd stall just round the corner from the biketart/lezyne stands (going away from the madison block).

It was a slightly depressed looking bloke sitting on a stool in a deserted booth. The only other objects in there was a steel frame, badged as "Chicken Cycles" sitting on the end of a wooden packing pallet.

I was on my way out then and didn't stop to check what was going on there but I'm dwelling on that slightly now and wish I'd stopped to talk to the guy. Did anyone else notice him or know what was going on?

I saw loads of empty stands, the worst ones were around the track.
It was my first bike show and i think it will be my last, the only highlight was being 10" away from Hoy.

Might be this mob. Did I miss anything by deciding not to go? Ended up having too many things to attend to at home so gave the 400+ miles each way trip a miss.
