London Cycle Show (Feb 2014)

Elliptigo? I had a word to the guy on the stall, because I'd seen him on London-Edinburgh-London. He finished it on that damn thing, while I only got 80% of the way round on a road bike. Impressive bikes.

So why did no one cycle there? We took advantage of the secure parking, but it wasn't that busy at all.

That sounds like it. I was interested as I am a runner with persistent knee injuries. However, I suspect it is quite expensive and I don't know where I could keep it.

I too wasn't overly impressed. Overall it was a nice day (Saturday) but it didn't have what I was looking for, it was mainly road bikes, clothing & nutrition products.

I'd gone looking to have a serious chat about folding bikes, I expected a half decent selection as this was the London show. I was disappointed only afew retailer stands with a couple of Bromptons, a few Dahons and 2 Moultons and a Strida. No folding bike manufacturers had turned up and I didn't spot a single Tern. This was my mistake I should've looked at the exhibitors list before I went.

I also fancied picking up some new bar tape for my road bike but there really wasn't much choice when it came to accessories, so i left empty handed.

Chatting to one for people on the clothing stands, she recommended I check out the NEC show later in the year which covers a wider range of cycle types.

The police stand was very helpful when it came to chatting security and I'll definitely be ordering some Hope parts later this year.

I'm a runner also and have been using a Elliptigo for 6 months. My dodgy foot only allows me to run twice a week so I use the elliptigo 4 or 5 times a week as part of my marathon training to compensate. They are quite expensive but you could hire/buy on hp from a company called rowhire and there is hardly any difference to the total price

They are cool, or maybe naff, but to me cool But how would I get it down six flights of stairs? <sigh> I could not leave such a valuable thing in the hall.
