My conservatory looks south and at the mo there's a grey tinged with streetlamp orange sky. I'm on tenterhooks and may need a single malt to calm my fevered brow.

Big comet approaching RT - heard it on the radio just now. Nothing better to do than sleep so I might as well encourage other fools interested parties to see if there is 'something out there'.

OK, just been out. Totally clear sky. Lots of constellations to view - Plough, Orion, The Bloke with the Dangly Willie, The Worm, The Hedge, etc, you know the usual suspects - but no green cloud.

Total cloud cover would make it difficult I guess. Is it a hedgehopper comet by any chance?

Here in London we have cloud cover - hope it is better viewing in the cool parts of the UK
