looks like it's going to be a dissappointing year

I am having a low mileage year. It started off well but the house move (the hills here) and a new job have really hammered my riding time. By the time I get in from work, walk the dogs and sort tea out - Hubster is always very hungry after either work or dialysis and will make a right mess of the kitchen - I just don't seem to have the energy. Looking at the rota today, I'm pretty sure that I won't be riding tonight as I have a 'high energy required' sort of an afternoon. But you never know. I might get a quick 10 or so in, if I'm lucky.
I'll be lucky to break 1500 miles this year, it's been appalling for me.

Bloody work

It must be stunning to ride on Stornoway.

I've only ridden 686 miles so far this year  but I have enjoyed ever one
You have nothing to worry about. That is around 50% more than our resident @potsy and he is half your age

I'm doing alright, I had to add another 1k around June when it became clear my self-imposed 2k limit was impractical. Now it looks as though I am going to smash the increased limit and will probably end up doing 3.5-4k as in previous years. My apologies to Lady Skol, to whom I keep promising I will cut down on my cycling

Doing OK here so far. One thing though, I set my target as 3,500 miles on the tracker but it still shows as 3,000 miles on here (last year's target). I can't seem to fix it.
Still, I'm enjoying the miles as much as ever whatever the target!

You then change the target figure (underlined in red) to whatever figure you want and hit the save button :okay:

What disappoints me is not that I keep getting overtaken on hilly evening rides by younger riders. It isn't that I am actually trying quite hard at those times. It is when they ask "Are you okay, mate?" without a hint of breathlessness, and apparently worried that I look as though I will not even make it to the summit!

Had something similar earlier this year. Nearing the top of a hardish climb, a group of riders swooped down in the opposite direction. I shouted the usual "morning" and a little wave, but one of them replied with a "well done". Thought I was climbing fairly comfortably!
