hope somebody can help! My sons bike has lost a bolt that hold the bike together. it has rear suspension and it seems as if this bolt was a bit like a hinge at the back of the crank. can you purchase these and what are they called? it is a matrix reverb and is a few years old but other than this it is in great condition!

Stagonset are good.
Namrick are a little cheaper on some items but their website isnt quite as well laid out.
Not sure if the OP can identify the size & thread of bolt?

I think it's the bolt in front of the crank, where the blue tube meets the bottom bracket. It looks like some sort of pivot for the full suspension.

I can't help with the bolt, but make sure that you get the exact one. That's a structural part of the frame and you wouldn't want it snapping whilst it's being ridden.

If you son isn't actually doing off road riding then it might be wise to get him a cheap second hand bike with a rigid frame, and some front suspension forks for the street cred.

Best off going to a bike shop and seeing what they can do. TBH, even though I'm dead handy with maintaining bikes etc, without knowing the thread TPI and if a washer is needed = bike shop. The other option is a specialist bolt/nut supplier for something as big as that, and where they can tell you the TPI (threads per inch).

What's holding the other side of the pivot together? Could you take it out and see if it fits either side, then you'll have one to take along to your bike shop to show them and say "I'd like another one of these, please."
