I have a C+ subscription but agree that it has gone downhill recently. I did like the free copy of Triathlon+ as I do keep half an eye on the sport.
Also a couple of weeks ago I bought Cycle Sport at a service station for something to read on the way to the Lake District (the Giro edition). It was a nice change - similar to ProCycling with lots of stunning pictures but only four pages of tech/product reviews.

Well I got my free Velovisions this week - thank you Peter.
Personally I find it too 'recumbent' for me if that makes sense but it's an excellent magazine, really well put together and with photos of Spandex's calves which cheered me up no end! Also a very romantic pic of him and Helen on some kind of random tandem (that rhymes). I do recommend it, even if it's not for me, if that makes sense!!

I bought C+ for about 6 months when it first came out. They had some fatuous article about how cheap cycling was that you could get by on spending only £400 year on your bike!!! At the time I was lucky if I spent £40 a year and I was commuting 12 miles in and out of London every day. So I thought I could save £48-50 a year by not buying C+ which I have done every month since which I can now report I have saved about £500 in the last 10 years or so. Thanks C+ 
. Has paid for a decent set of panniers and hand built wheels. Anyway it became very much a manufactures' brochure geared to pushing racing bikes and kit for those with ATGaNI. Not my cup of tea. I did read the CTC mag when I was a member but it was just a little staid in it's content. The only one I still receive is the LCC mag although this has been diluted in the last 5 years a pity as it used to have quite an attitude and some interesting articles. Never a huge page count but what was on the pages was quality. The days of glossy mags full of ads might be numbered as the way we access info is more often than not on the web so to compete alot of them will have to adapt as the broadsheet newspapers have done by actually making their articles, comment and reviews available on line. Most of the articles and reviews I read are those put on forums or websites geared to what I want to see anyway, or if not, you just start a new thread .
Oh I bought Cycling Weekly last week for the first time as it had a route in Norfolk that I'd like to do. Wouldn't buy it again though. Otherwise it is standing in Smith's every three months if I remember having a quick flick through being jostled by a CHAV buying Plasticine Model Warrior or a Car Porn Mag shouting into his phone to tell his mate what is on page 11

I received my free copies of Velo Vision yesterday, thank you Pete.
Whilst I find the recumbent a strange form of locomotion and the mag is 'heavy' with these (I've only ever had road bikes) the whole ethos of the magazine, getting yourself, your family, your goods, etc. from A to B by means of bicycle, whatever type, is admirable.

I've received my copies too... (including Spandex's legs) and second what Cathryn says. Its an interesting read, and put together very professionally. But the bikes are out of my league price wise. I am tempted to take out a subscription for the alternative view I admit, and I will pass on my magazines to some other friends when I've finished reading them.

Just wanted to say that I also received 2 copies of this beautifully put together mag 
The styling is nice and not typical, I must say. The content is a little more recumbant and tandem based for my taste but as a publication it's well written and looks very good. Well done to Pete & Arch and the star model Spandex
