The CR1 Pro uses (and always has had) Mavic Ksyriums.

Fair enough...that makes 'Evans' Winter catalogue (which says Ultegra R601's) incorrect then......even though their website says Mavics....

£250 will get you the Easton wheels and some good tyres and tubes.

Is it just me or do those Ksyrium rims look a little worn?

Personally I wouldn't buy SH wheels, but if you want to take the gamble!

They have downgraded from Elites to Equipes, to be fair, but the price used to be £2000 and is now £1800, so that seems fair enough to me.

I see the Sirrus Pro and Ltd...bikes over £1.2k have Shimano RS 10s.

Would these be OK....they are a bit cheaper than Ultergras also.

The RS10's are not worth upgrading.
You won't gain any significant benefit.
Ultegras or Eastons as abve are your best bet by a mile.

Are these the ones to go for?

Will they fit a Specialized Sirrus or are they more for a road/racing bike?

Please advise. Thanks all.

No mate...the touring rims are wider than racing bike rims and heavier.
Ultegra wheels are Ultegra rims and hubs.
I'd go for the Eastons in the link we posted further up.

You'll not get better for your money!

I put some WH550's with Spesh Armadilo 23mm tyres on mine. Faster, but keeps the puncture protection for the commute.

Also got rid of the sus-seat post for a Spesh carbon one, and changed the saddle to a Fizik Arione - much better.

I've just had a look myself and can't seem to find them any more.

I did find some R561's (105 groupset) at £120 for the pair on Ribble.

There's also the RS20's at a similar price, but it doesn't show the weight.

If you want to shave a couple of hundred grams off the R561's you could spend a little more and get the R601's (Ultegra) at £200.
