Marmalade

I'm just wondering if sweet oranges would make good marmalade? I've never tried but I don't see why not. Maybe reduce the sugar a tad tho'?

I tend to cheat and get a can of "Mamade" from the shops ... quite acceptable marmalade ready in less than half an hour ...
and you can still add interesting extras such as crystallised ginger, or whisky, or cointreau (sp?). Miles better than shop-bought marmalade still

When I was less busy with work, I used to do marmalade from scratch with fresh organic oranges from a friend, but now life is too short to shred orange peel .

Thanks for the suggestions guys - have got grapefruit, sweet oranges, limes and lemons to cook up tonight!
