I tend to cheat and get a can of "Mamade" from the shops ... quite acceptable marmalade ready in less than half an hour ...
and you can still add interesting extras such as crystallised ginger, or whisky, or cointreau (sp?). Miles better than shop-bought marmalade still
When I was less busy with work, I used to do marmalade from scratch with fresh organic oranges from a friend, but now life is too short to shred orange peel
