I've been trawling the web for a matt black, 20mm x 1 1/8" headset spacer with no joy. I've found every colour under the sun and loads of glossy black ones, but no matt black.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I should add that I don't want carbon, just something that more or less matches my aluminium stem. Oh, and no logos either!

I was looking for the same, but couldn't find any.

Sand the laquer off of a gloss carbon spacer, it is just the finish that is gloss. You won't compromise the integrity of the spacer.

All the spacers on my Specialized are matt black. Try a bike shop? They will have loads in a box.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
These might be matt - worth checking with them. I have a set of matt spacers on one bike, think they are Cane Creek, but they are all 5mm. Interlok? think they are nylon however. Hard to tell what they are made from. Otherwise GG's suggestion above .

Thanks for the ideas. The answer was this:

Not perfect, but not bad if I say so myself!

Edit - I also used it to cover the branding on the headset. Time will tell how well it lasts.
