^_^ this has been an enjoyable thread - rebelpeter - butt butter (chamois creme) plus the gloriously cooling 'post ride gel' i like to use, are all part of things you'll begin to think of as perfectly normal that non-riders think of as just plain odd. i have also asked the, 'it's a bit uncomfy with me alans on under me tights, does anyone just not wear them?' question. 4 years on (or about that), i think nothing of leaving the house without pants on. the wife still finds it unsettling. i have also taken to shaving my legs in the summer. ankles to nads. that was a strange experience. i found that my legs felt strangely moist for a few days...my wife found that unsettling too. i am still married though. cycling is amazing, as are the things you'll learn about cycling and cyclists as you get more and more obsessed by it. which you will. embrace it

I can't get on with this going commando scenario, doesn't give me the support. I've tried a cricket jockstrap, but found on the last couple of rides it chafes. Can recommend any particular brand of jock-strap? Ladies need not respond, they don't have the (bitter) experience!
