Neither A home cook here.

Don't "do" pubs as I'm teetotal and I live out in the boonies, so the nearest chip shop is a) a bit of a faff, b) getting a bit spendy and c) isn't really that good.

Tomato sauce/ketchup are juvenile foodstuff/palette I reckon. HP brown or fruity fine on most things savoury, mayo on chips more or less compulsory I'd say.

Good chips don't need anything, unless you have a pie or sausage with them, then it's gravy on top.
