Can you sacrifice a cupboard and squeeze in a proper cooker? Whilst you can doubtless suffice with a baby belling or whatever, you've suggested you do cook proper stuff in the cooker bit, so it would be limiting. You'd lose the counter top space whatever you had

Yes i could buy a full sized cooker and it'd fit into the space meant for one,but then i'd have to find somewhere for the fridge freezer. I'm glad the fridge freezer's a stand up one and not a chest one as that would be a problem, but that's why i bought a stand up one knowing this problem would probably occur somewhere along the line.

Again that sounds familiar, the space for a proper cooker here is filled with an upright fridge freezer.

Anyway I've stopped dithering and ordered that oven you linked to, should be here in a few days :okay:

We got this one in an emergency, we cook with it in preference to the normal Gas oven it can cook just as an oven, Grill or Microwave and then offers auto combo oven\microwave oven\microwave\grill https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-...eywords=panasonic+microwave+combination+ovens

Obv family of 4 roasts it cannot quite cope, but this and two ring table top hob and you are sorted.

Anything that we want to cook well and evenly goes in to this, I never ever thought it would be used so much. Downside is that it is bloody expensive. Knocks out a brilliant frozen pizza in 7 minutes just tap in the weight and press turbo cook and away it goes. Same with Jacket Potatoes, normal baking is really good. First "self cleaning" oven where I have just heated it up and then wiped clean with a damp cloth. The Grill gets a bit tricky if you have cooked something that splatters with it, too close to the grill.

My parents bought this when their oven broke - it's great.

I'm sure everyone is on tenterhooks about how well it reheats kebabs...
Reheat a kebab?

That would imply there was some left over

When we moved into our current house we hadn't either jobs (autocorrect ) hob or an oven (previous owner's son had taken them when he found out he hadn't been left the house in the will). And because we were thinking about how we might change things around we started by just getting one of those table top rings from Aldi.... hated cooking on it as it wasn't responsive as I was used to cooking on gas rings. So shortly after had a new gas hob installed.

We bought a combination microwave/grill/oven thing that we still use as a microwave but we did eventually purchase a proper oven. I was able to cook cakes etc in it. I even managed to cook a proper Christmas dinner for 5 in it with lots of planning of which thing was in there swapping them over etc. But I did say I had to have a proper oven before the next one as it was hard work juggling the various sausages, roast, potatoes, roast veg etc. For Boxing Day that year we got the BBQ out (one with a lid) and cooked a large salmon on it when we also had my parents over.

I found that it was frustrating not having an oven as I like cooking and it worked pretty well, though obviously not as good as having a proper oven.

One of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooks-Prof...F8&qid=1508848517&sr=1-16&keywords=mini+ovens or one of these http://www.myappliances.co.uk/prod/...UaduN8BUQeATQcD4QcoXo-ofSBf_fNOwaAtk8EALw_wcB
I want an oven. I haven't the room for a full sized oven and i don't really need one just for one person,so i've decided on either a mini oven or a microwave that has oven functions. The mini ovens look a better deal as they seem to be cheaper. I know they can't microwave but i can live with that. Do the microwaves that have grills cook the stuff as well as a conventional oven though? Have any of you had either of these devices and if so do you rate them? Other thoughts and comments are welcome.:okay:
