I used to work with a bloke who sang ' ...lays me down, with my mancheero's...', instead of '...lays me down, with my mind she runs...' to The Stranglers 'Golden Brown'.

Maybe he was right though. Weren't Mancheero's a novely crisp from Golden Wonder, from about 1976 ?
Don't know but when I first heard it in the 90s, I thought they were singing about Gordon Brown.

I always heard it as

'Mancheerons'

So I am glad I am not alone in getting that one wrong :okay:

too many to mention, mostly animal themed for some reason

ACDC's dirty deeds and their done dirt cheap- is dirty deeds and their done to sheep

Enya's Sail Away is SaveThe Whale (to be fair it was at a time when lots of whales were getting washed ashore - and I quite liked the song when I thought that was the lyrics

Cliiff Richards It's so funny (we don't talk anymore) has become bearable if I change it to Disco Bunny

and
don't know the artist but the song goes "myl lovers got no money, he's got his strong beliefs" makes more sense if he's a busker and has got his tambourine.....

Beatles: Jo Jo was a man who thought he was a woman...
Me too, but not surprising perhaps considering that Loretta Martin thought she was a woman!

Me too!

I thought I would resurrect this thread to ask if I am the only listener to think that Sheryl Crow put on a porn show?
