Many years ago en route to a holiday in Wales we stopped at a petrol station near Dinas Mawddwy and while the attendant was filling the car he moaned non stop about; the rain keeping the tourists away; the coast being overrun with tourists ; customer numbers being down ; how he was run off his feet at work etc etc but as we prepared to leave he smiled and said in his broad Welsh accent "Still, its nice to have a little grumble isn't it". Its become a catchphrase we still use at home when we have heard enough of someones moaning.

Mr6 loathes his job, he rarely actually moans about it though.
I actually quite like mine and I moan daily.

I must admit I loath my job, always have done, don't know why since everyone else doing it loves it

It does worry me sometimes that I am so down about it all the time, but dont know what to do - no one is going to pay me what I get paid to do something else and I'm too old to start a new 'career'

I just look at the money and count the days until I can retire (3.5 years and counting) - I wont be rich and I wont do 'nothing' but maybe then I can go work in a bike shop part time and not care what I earn

My sister used to be mates with exuberant comedian Jeremy Hardy. She said anytime you rang him up, his response to the opening 'How are you?' (or similar) would invariably be a heavy sigh, followed by 'Mustn't grumble.'

I say precisely naff all about my work on faceache, also don't link to people I work with - never let them see you bleed is my motto.

I often feel the need to tell faceache moaners to MTFU but that would indicate that you are paying them attention which is what they want in the first place.

I reckon there's many many people just like you, most much further away from retirement than you too!

Personally, I think it's a sad truth that most people working today are doing it only for the money and many simply do not feel fulfilled by what they do. So it's understandable that they moan from time to time. I reckon so long as you can get through your day, enjoy the company of your colleagues and have some degree of pride in what you do then it isn't too bad.

Getting things off our chest keeps us sane.

I read somewhere that swearing lowers blood pressure and stress levels so I farking hate my farking job. It's shoot and the farking manager is a farking self-gratification artist. The farking customers are farking bastards that drive me up the farking wall. That's farking better!

Love mine, been off sick for 3 months so far and desperate to get back. But going to be a while yet.

I keep in contact with the lads, and my immediate boss keeps me up to date. But every time he rings he always has something to moan about, I know he loves the job but I think he is just born moaner lol!
