The police. So tight, they closed all the subsidised canteens at the stations.

Except the one next to the Chief Freemasons office. For some unfathomable reason there was just enough money in the budget to keep that one open. What a stroke of luck, eh?

I like your post but for the wrong reasons.
They're still trying a month after first advertising the vacancies to get staff. Can't work out why.

I know that he once walked into the Leeds Ferrari dealer dressed like this, to look at (at the time) a F355, & was actually treated decently
He opened up a rucksack & took out a cash deposit!!!!!

I was trying to find that clip in Bad Boys 2 when the guy walks into a car dealer with a bag full of cash ....

i worked for a company that owned a villa in Portugal. Every Christmas they would put everyone’s name in a hat and draw out 4 winners who each got a two week holiday.

One of my old bosses used to take us away on his yacht for a weekend in the Med.

My current company are very tight. £25 for Christmas party in London doesn’t get you very much

My current employer is very tight. We paid for our own 'morale boosting' christmas day buffet because our employer wouldn't

Argyll Stores / Safeway Food Stores / Seagram / Whitbread - all very good payers + good benefits for me but eclipsed by the legal sector where I finished my corporate career.

Never worked for a tight employer.
