I'd need a lot of convincing that a reflective foil is going to make much difference. Whilst radiators are called radiators they really heat by convection after directly transferring heat to the air in contact. There's negligible radiated heat to reflect

I have not done any calculations so am
open to being persuaded otherswise

They do make a difference, particularly when the radiator is on an outside wall.

Recently BROUGHT?
Brought from't shops - after exchanging for money...

My contribution would be a merino buff / snood / neck tube from the great CRC / Wiggle corpse-picking of 2024. Bought two as they were half price or less; which then sat in the drawer all year without any proper use.

One's since had a couple of outings in the really cold weather earlier in the year and proven to be really versatile and warm; great for keeping the wind chill off the nose / face and maintaining core warmth by prevening heat loss around the neck.

Certainly won't see as much use as the base layers I bought at the same time, but invaluable when really cold

Technically it's his wife's age that's showing. @Tenkaykev could be a youthful toy-boy
From time to time it has been remarked that I look much younger than my age, though that's almost certainly down to genetics and a relatively active lifestyle. My stock response if someone says this is to credit a " lifetime of celibacy and abstinence " 🤣

A pair of thin insoles.

I bought some quite expensive Brasher walking shoes, which were never really comfortable. In hindsight, I should have rejected them and gone elsewhere, but I ended up buying them, thinking that they would stretch and conform to my feet. I wore them a few times but they just weren't quite right for my squashed up toes.
But then I realised that the insoles were removable, and were quite thick. So I replaced them with some thin ones and hey presto! the shoes are really good now.

I bought a laser device - no not for shooting at stuff - for setting handlebars straight, it clips to the bars and sends a line of light forward onto the tyre, no more setting by eye then spending the whole of a ride trying to decide if the bars are straight!

I took a chance and bought it from an Instagram ad, I think it was £20 - it took ages to arrive, an exceptionally slow boat from China.

It came in a nice tin box like the one granny always kept her Mintoes in and so far it hasn't burst into flames so I call that a win!

Great bit of kit!

It used to take me ages and a considerable amount of language to get that right.
