Big alloys, indeed small alloys, stretched tyres, heavily cambered wheels and making your 3 cylinder 900cc Corsa exhaust pop. Apparently it's cool....
Tinted windows. Why?
Another one that springs to mind is taking a normal hatchback and attempting to turn it into some sort of mini suv type thing with lots of faded black plastic trim. The Rover Streetwise springs to mind and Renault did something similar with the Scenic.
Why are people having special number plates done at the moment where the figures are cut out of black perspex and glued on, so they're raised above the plate itself?
Seems to be the pointless fad of the moment.
Spot lights on the front bumper. Instant rally car appeal.
Oh I wasn't questioning their legality, I know it's all legal. I was just wondering why it's a thing, I've always struggled to understand why people will pay money for a number plate. It's crackers.Ah, it's the fad, my son has just had some bought for him (from a mate as he's done loads of jobs for him). Pain in the ass to wash, but perfectly legal if in the correct font and size. My son's got shortened plates as his reg is 5 characters long, but so long as all the boarders, font, size etc, is OK it's fully legal - I checked..
Me, I'd just get a normal size plate. Gell letters were 'in' but now it's the plastic 4d ones !
PS sunstrips are still in, but they usualy are balck or body coloured, to be all 'racer'....
