Craziness - I'm not sure how you could get onto the M8 by mistake. I suspect he's just a Glasgow Bam taking a short cut.

Instead of blaring horns at him, the responsible and decent thing to do would be to shield him from passing vehicles and call the police.

That's really terrible. There is no motorway warning sign, the isn't even the word "Motorway". It would be an easy mistake to make if you didn't know UK road numbering. And once you have made it, you are pretty well stuck to the next exit.

My initial reaction was shock but the situation got funnier the longer it went on.
We believe he may have taken a wrong turn on to the motorway at Charing Cross. He looked fearful and in tears.
Nothing funnier than a guy in a very dangerous situation crying with fear.
