It was in Glasgow. Maybe @Pat "5mph" knows him?
Sorry, me know no numpties ^_^
Sorry to show prejudice but I'd be willing to bet it's a recent arrival to the UK who is ignorant of traffic rules and wouldn't think twice about doing it in their own country.
I was thinking the same: don't go far, you don't need to be from another country, the instructor from BC that came from England almost took our group on the M74!

I suspect he got on at the Waterloo St on-ramp>>

Instead of blaring horns at him, the responsible and decent thing to do would be to shield him from passing vehicles and call the police.
Yes, it's an easy mistake to make, the entrance to the pedestrian/cyclists bridge is not immediately obvious if you are a stranger in town.
Poor man, he must have been terrified.

Craziness - I'm not sure how you could get onto the M8 by mistake. I suspect he's just a Glasgow Bam taking a short cut.

And no HI Viz or Helmet!!!!!!!
I could see why you would comment on the no helmet ( which he isnt required to wear) but why comment on hi viz????

Here we go...
Just asking a question?

You weren't just asking a question though, you loaded it by presupposing that questioning one thing was understandable but not the other.
Yes because i can see why a helmet question is always asked, but dont know why hi viz is being questioned

I see hundreds of cyclists not wearing hi viz and dont see it as an issue

How long you've been on CC?
No helmet, no hi-viz is just a forum saying, like "does no one think of the children" or such like, you know what I mean.
Its the first time ive seen hi viz being mentioned.......helmets yes, but not hi viz

Do a forum search for the term, been said lots of times, mostly ironically.
Well maybe its time people on this forum started to respect other peoples choices and decisions. Unless it breaks the law..........time for another forum sobatical me thinks
