Bergen has on average 88 inches of rain per year! Miraculously, the first day I was there it was dry and sunny; the second it was absolutely awful.

The Blue Ridge Parkway doesn't stretch to Mt Rainier?

Would be cool if it did. I have never ridden the parkway on a bicycle but hope to some day. I have been on it in cars and on motorcycles but I am not ready for it on a bicycle. Maybe in a year or so, I don't know if I will ever be ready to ride all of it in one trip unless I had plenty of time for it. The Parkway seems like it could be paradise to a seasoned rider. I would think you have to be a fairly strong rider to ride about anywhere in the Asheville area.
